Florida Holiday 2018 Day 22

By Mark

Today was the day we were due to fly back home, the plan was to check in for our Virgin Atlantic flights at Disney Springs, go to EPCOT for a few hours and then head for the airport.

We went to Disney Springs to check in but Matthew was still unwell and was sick when we were there, someone from Virgin said that if he was sick again within two hours of flying he would not be allowed to board the plane. We checked in our bags and went to EPCOT. We parked at Disney’s Beach Club and had an ice cream. Matthew took it easy and relaxed. We had lunch at Yorkshire County Fish Shop in the UK Pavilion and then met Alice and Mary Poppins.

We then walked around World Showcase a bit and met Mulan in China. We had something else to eat at Sunshine Seasons and left the park meeting the Mad Hatter along the way. This is when Holly started to feel sick and vomited. With both Matthew and Holly ill I called the Airline for advice, they said we were not allowed to fly, I then called our travel insurance company who advised they needed to go to hospital and gave us the details of one. What then proceeded was a very stressful few hours, going to hospital, trying to arrange accommodation, extending car hire, leasing with car hire company, insurance company. Etc.

I was able to book a room at the Wyndham Disney Springs for the night and we finally got to the room at around 1.30am.
