The Doubletree by Hilton Hotel London – Westminster

I stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel London Westminster for three nights at the end of February 2014. My experience at the hotel was a very positive one. I was an organiser of a group of over 50 foreign customers all of which demanded high standards and the hotel did not disappoint.

Check in was quick and I received the standard complementary cookie that you always receive when staying at a Doubletree by Hilton.

My room was on the third floor with views over the Millbank Tower opposite. It was clean and tidy with two bottles of water provided every day.

As is the case in a number of Doubletree by Hiltons, especially in the city an Apple iMac computer is provided which as well as being able to surf the net and use the applications doubles as the TV. I actually used it to do some work and print files directly to the Concierge desk that I picked up later. Complimentary WiFi is also provided throughout the hotel.

The concierge service could also not be faulted as a very helpful member of the team helped up put gifts in all of our guests’ room as well as storing large items for us for the duration of our stay.

Breakfast was the usual choice you would expect consisting of hot and cold options and there was more than adequate places to sit in their large breakfast area.

We had an evening meal in one of their private rooms and that was served promptly and to a high standard.

The Hotel is centrally located about a five minute walk from Pimlico station and next to the Tate Britain. If you want to explore the local area the Palaces of Westminster and Big Ben is just down the road.

Overall I would recommend this hotel for people staying in London, but personally I prefer my hotels a little closer to underground stations for convenience.
